Frequently Asked Questions

• Arival and departure
  • You choose your arrival and departure day.
  • You do need to consider the minimum length of stay (depending on period chosen).
• Cancellation
  • After payment, your reservation is final. In case of cancellation, we do not make refunds.
    We recommend buying a cancellation insurance. For that, we would like to refer to your insurance broker.
• BBQ
  • BBQ is allowed at l’Escargot (gas or charcoal). We have BBQs available for you to use (please bring your own charcoal).
  • All glamping accommodation are equipped with a charcoal BBQ.
• Payment
  • We require a 30% deposit upon receipt of confirmation. The balance of 70% must be paid no later than 1 month before arrival.
  • For reservations made less than one month before your arrival date, the full amount needs to be paid at the time of reservation.
  • Upon receipt of your payment, we will send you a receipt confirmation.
• Bread service and breakfast
  • There is no bread and breakfast service on Mondays (closing day of our bakery).
• GPS or Directions?
  • If you are traveling with RV/caravan or trailer, we strongly recommend to follow our directions instead of your navigation system. You can find these on the contact page. This will save you a steep climb/sharp turns and narrow passages at the end of the trip. (And reduce the amount of stress for those behind the wheel!).
• Groups – Multiple families together
  • Although we regularly get this request, l’Escargot is NOT suitable for larger parties. Therefore, due to the peaceful and even quiet nature of our campground, we do not accept groups or multiple families together. (Not even if they reserved separately.)
  • This means, on the other hand, that – if you are a looking for a really quiet place you can be sure that you will find it here.
• Pets
  • If you are camping with your own camping equipment, your pet (leashed and walked outside the campsite) is also welcome ! (cost : €5 per night)
    2 dogs : on request.
  • No pets are allowed in the Glamping accommodations.
• Annual Pitch/Seasonal Pitch
  • We do not have annual or seasonal pitches.
• Parking
  • Your pitch is very spacious, so the car can just go on it. If you prefer it out of sight, a few parking spaces (inside the gate) are always available as well.
• Reserveren
  • You can book online using the reservation form on the website.
  • After checking availability and upon acceptance of your reservation, we will send you a reservation confirmation as soon as possible. On this reservation confirmation you will also find all the information you need for payment.
  • Reservations are always required for the Glamping tents, the Roulotte and the Cottage.
  • Almost all reservations require a minimum number of nights. You will see this in the reservation module. If you are camping with an autonomous campervan or caravan, a reservation for 1 night is possible.
  • We do not charge a reservation fee.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a reservation. This will only happen in cases of force majeure (e.g. double booking) and you will be notified as soon as possible. If we cancel your reservation, we will of course refund you the full amount.
• Sanitary facilities/bathrooms
  • Since 2020 we have only pitches and glamping accommodation with private bathrooms. We do not have communal sanitary facilities (anymore).
  • If you are traveling by RV and have your own toilet and bathroom on board, limited sites without bathrooms are available. The can be booked separately in the reservation module.
• Rates
  • You can use the reservation module to calculate the price of your planned vacation.
• Access Gate
  • The entrance gate to the site is closed between 22:00 and 08:00.
• Check in
  • For the pitches : 14:00 – 20:00
  • For the glampings : 15:00 – 20:00
  • If you expect to arrive after 18:00, please let us know in advance
• Check out
  • Before 11:00.
  • Late checkout possible upon request (based on availability).
• Fire
  • Campfires, fire pits and other open fires are not permitted at l’Escargot.
